Please remember the following tips during the Spring and Summer seasons:
* Remember to water your lawn, but
make sure your sprinklers are not hitting the house.
* Fertilize your sod
* Clean your primary condensation line using warm water and bleach.
* Clean and test smoke alarms
* Check your garage door for loose hinges or screws and lubricate the moving
areas.
* Test and reset ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) breakers.
* Change or clean the furnace filter
* Check caulking around showers and tubs and touch it up if necessary
* Adjust registers and confirm that cold air returns are clear of furniture
or draperies.
* Check the fit of exterior doors; thresholds are adjustable--use a quarter
to turn the screws.
* Clean gutters, check downspouts; confirm that splash blocks drain away from
the house.
* On pleasant days, open windows to allow house to breathe.
* Pressure wash siding and brick
* Check weather stripping on windows and doors and replace if necessary
* Check the condition of paint on wood trim and doors. Replace if necessary
